Unalienable or Inalienable Rights?

Consider the word “Unalienable.” This word was used by Thomas Jefferson in second  sentence of the Declaration of Independence where he described certain rights:

“We hold the truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” (Emphasis added)
